Custom Brass Coin FAQ

Common questions about Vector engraving, DepthMap engraving, files, proof approval, shipping, and ordering

Ordering Custom Brass Coins

What is the difference between Vector engraving and DepthMap engraving?

Vector engraving is best for logos, text, line art, emblems, icons, borders, and clean graphic designs. DepthMap engraving is best for photo-style detail, portraits, pets, vehicles, and artwork with shadows, texture, or depth.

What sizes are available?

Evermark Mint offers custom brass coins in 32mm, 40mm, and 50mm sizes. The 32mm size is compact, the 40mm size has a traditional challenge-coin-style feel, and the 50mm size is a larger premium display coin.

Can I order just one coin?

Yes. Evermark Mint is small-batch friendly and can make single custom coins, small gift orders, limited-edition collector runs, and larger quantity orders.

Can you help with the design?

Yes. Customers can upload artwork, reference images, logos, text, or a written idea. Evermark Mint can help prepare the layout and provide a proof before engraving.

Do I get to approve the design before engraving?

Yes. Proof approval is included with custom coin orders. Engraving does not begin until the design proof is reviewed and approved.

Artwork and File Questions

Can you engrave photos?

Yes. Photo-style engraving is available using DepthMap engraving. This works well for portraits, pets, vehicles, memorial coins, and detailed keepsake artwork.

What files should I upload?

Preferred file types include SVG, AI, PDF, EPS, PNG, and JPG. Vector files are best for logos, text, and clean artwork. High-resolution images are best for DepthMap engraving.

Can you engrave copyrighted logos or characters?

Customers must own the rights or have permission to use copyrighted logos, characters, brands, trademarks, or artwork. Evermark Mint may refuse designs that appear to violate copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.

Pricing, Shipping, and Production

How much is shipping?

Flat-rate U.S. shipping is $8.95 per order for addresses in the lower 48 contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, and international shipping may require a custom quote.

Do you offer volume pricing?

Yes. Volume discounts may be available depending on coin size, engraving style, quantity, and project complexity. Check the Pricing page or contact Evermark Mint for larger custom runs.

Can I engrave both sides?

Yes. Two-sided engraving is available. A coin can use Vector engraving, DepthMap engraving, or a combination depending on the artwork and design goals.

How does numbering work?

Optional numbering can be added for limited-edition runs, collector coins, event coins, retirement coins, or challenge-coin-style keepsakes. Numbering can include serial numbers, edition counts, dates, or custom numbering formats.

How long does turnaround take?

Turnaround depends on proof approval, order complexity, quantity, and current production schedule. Orders move into production after the proof is approved. Typical production time is 3–5 business days after proof approval.
